Congregations4Children (WNCCUMC), Western NC CAN (Child Advocacy Network), and NC Child invite you to Faith into Action: Advocating for Children in NC.
Adam Sotak, Public Engagement Director for NC Child and Greg Borom, Advocacy Director, Children First – Communities In Schools of Buncombe County will share their experience and expertise related to child advocacy. During this one-hour virtual session, components will include:
NC Child is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We advance public policies to ensure that every child in North Carolina has the opportunity to thrive – whatever their race, ethnicity, or place of birth.
The Western NC CAN (Child Advocacy Network) is made up of over 14 organizations serving 18 mountain counties. Children First / CIS of Buncombe County serves as the “hub” agency for the WNC CAN.
Congregations for Children (C4C) is a resource of the WNCCUMC created to provide support to churches and communities in developing new and strengthening existing church and school partnerships.
