NC legislators were just in Raleigh for a special session on Health Care. Leadership did not allow a vote to expand Medicaid – while half a million people in our state can’t afford to see a doctor when they need one.
We're calling on legislative leaders to put politics aside and get the job done for North Carolina.
More background info at the bottom of the page.
More than half a million North Carolinians can’t see a doctor when they need one, because reliable health insurance is out of reach. More than a quarter of them are parents with children at home.

Legislators came to Raleigh for a "health care special session" this week and never even discussed the issue. We need legislative leaders to put political games aside and get the job done.
Three-quarters of states have already taken this step, accepting available federal funds to expand their Medicaid programs. These states are saving money and getting care to those who need it most. Contact Speaker Moore and Senate President Berger today and ask them to step up on this critical issue.
